"I wish a living could be earned by parenting. I am skilled at it, and it's a chosen profession, and I enjoy it as much as writing or teaching. But as it is, to become an Executive Parent I would still need a Sugar Daddy."

Those who are the real "skilled parents" in the world don't feel the need to announce it. In doing so, who is she really trying to convince? Herself? Don't you actually have to be present throughout your children's lives to make such a claim?
